IF
YOU ONLY SEE ONE THING ...
Visit
a distinctively New England
place or event - an agricultural
fair in late summer or early
fair, the Vermont Ski Museum
or Fairbanks Museum in winter,
Maple Open House Weekend
in March, HildeneÕs peony
or Shelburne MuseumÕs lilac
celebrations in May and
June.
STRANGE
BUT TRUE ...
Vermonters
celebrate everything: winter,
spectacular fall colours,
vegetables and herbs. There
are humans dressed as dancing
leaves in Bennington each
fall, a zucchini festival
in Ludlow in August, a garlic
and herb festival in Wilmington
at summerÕs end, several
corn and even a sunflower
maze.
